Seeing a stranger cry in public is one thing, but to see it and continue to film them crying is tough.

Part of you wants to be respectful and f*ck off anywhere else, and the filmmaker part is already crouching for a better angle. I approached the Gold Star Mom and explained who I was and that she could tell me to back off at any time, and she was surprisingly very receptive. Not only that, but she was thankful for everything that was being done to honor and remember her daughter Casey.
